Grid connection approval is the first and important step before you proceed with your solar installation.
Every DNSP (Distribution Network Service Provider) is different from the other, and the requirement and process are also different. Depending on site situation, DNSP and export limit, the process may be complex. We have worked with DNSPs across Australia (VIC, NSW, QLD, SA and WA) for grid connection approval. With our expertise and experience on this, we can lodge the grid connection approval with all necessary drawings and documents so your installation will be ready without any hassle.

We provide a customised solar design solution for residential and commercial solar systems as per requirements of the customer and DNSPs, and relevant Australian Standards and CEC design guidelines. We provide this service to QLD, VIC, NSW, SA and WA.
Depending on requirements of the clients, we also prepare the Design Certification Report (DCR) + RPEQ sign off for commercial solar over 30kVA to get an approval for installation from Energex and Ergon in QLD.

For every system over 30KVA, we carry out the secondary injection testing of grid protection relay on site to verify the correct functioning of the protection relay in both normal and fault conditions. We also check and verify the relay settings provided by the relay board supplier against the settings in accordance with the technical standard of respective DNSP.

We also perform Power Quality Test (on HV as well as LV side), analyse the data and prepare the compliance report. We always use Class A compliant Fluke Power Quality and Energy Analyser to carry out the PQ Test on site. We also advise the client solution to mitigate the issues if any (for example low power factor, harmonics). We submit the testing & commissioning report to DNSP in their specific format.

Depending on requirements of the clients, we also prepare the Standard Compliance Report or PQ Compliance Report + RPEQ sign off for commercial solar over 30kVA to get a connection approval from Energex and Ergon in QLD.
